See What our Clients Have To Say

"Working with COG Therapies  was a dream come true! Due to covid and school being closed my son (3yrold) was unable to continue his speech services he would normally be receiving in school, he was showing signs of regression and I’m so glad I found COG Therapies. She was patient and so kind with my son, he would typically be shy opening up to new people but he warmed up to her calm and caring presence so quickly. She not only worked well with my son but also kept me educated and up to speed on things I could do on my own to help encourage my son to use language. I have worked with several people in the past for home services as my son is special needs and I have to say COG Therapies is someone I highly recommend she’s simply wonderful and very educated.”

“We had the pleasure of working with Carlye in the fall of 2024.  Carlye took the time to learn about my son and was very patient and understanding in handling his behaviors during sessions.  She was the ideal combination, since she was able to support both his communication goals as well as helping him work through his behaviors.  Carlye truly understands that all behavior is a form of communication and works with her students, and their families, to achieve the best outcome."

“Our son has been receiving speech therapy since he was 18 months old.  He is now 6.  COG Therapies was the first provider that made significant progress with him.  Using PROMPT therapy, COG Therapies was extremely effective.  Our son loved coming to play and never felt like he was "working".  We couldn't recommend COG Therapies highly enough!”

"Working with Carlye was a wonderful experience. She worked one on one with my son over the course of a year. He went from not being able to sit still and engage in a few questions to being able to sit in his chair and actually have a conversation. I appreciated that Carlye not only worked with his interests in mind but also pushed him outside of that to talk about things he might not be interested in but someone else might be. Given the post Covid environment, while we met mostly in person we had to do some online sessions and I was surprised by how she was able to take command of the situation and still guide my son. My son has met other therapists online but most sessions would be lost due to him getting carried away with clicking various keys, etc. but Carlye was no nonsense and kept him focused on the tasks at hand. She could also read his mood and brought just the right amount of levity needed to keep him focused without over tiring him. I would definitely recommend working with Carlye to meet your child's speech and behavioral needs."

"My twin daughter, Baby Girl B (BGB) was discharged from the NICU after being hospitalized for 79 days.  BGB needed feeding and speech support.  She is such a warm, caring and loving person.  She is an excellent therapist and truly loves her work and the children. She provided excellent care for my daughters first year and a half of life  She observes and listens to the children for their cues; modifies sessions based on their tolerance for the day.  She uses different approaches to help the children achieve their goals while making it fun and engaging for them.

She never hesitated to provide suggestions, and additional parent education to my husband and myself when BGB was receiving her therapies. She taught us the methods we needed to with pacing for feeding, drinking from a cup\straw and to avoid thumb sucking.  She made helpful suggestions for books to enhance our daughter’s vocabulary as well ways to help with BGB sensory issues with textures for foods.  She was helpful when I asked her expertise on concerns that I had for my eldest daughter, who was 6 years old and BGB’s twin sister BGA (Baby Girl A).  My daughters always looked forward to her visits and often ask for her now that they are older and are no longer receive her therapy services.

It isn’t often that you meet someone that is professional, kind, patient and loves their work.  I sincerely, recommend any parent that needs professional support and help for their child or children with feeding or speech services with her; she is excellent!"
